People just don't get my costumes ever...

Yesterday was my aunts annual themed family reunion barbecue. This years theme - Superheroes and villians... I'm really not one for normal costumes... So I dressed as the blue raja from mystery men. Yeah that's right, you have no idea who that is. I even learned how to tie a turban just for it.

Last Halloween I dressed as a man who had fallen in the ice only to be frozen for thousands of years, eventually thaw out, go to law school, and become Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer...

For some reason people didn't get it and called me Wolfman...

Oh I've always got to be pretty far out there...

Pirate Cruise

So there I was standing on the Toronto Harbour Docks dressed as a pirate with my pirate associate Grayson... And we were not alone...

August 5th at 8pm over 100 people dressed as pirates walked down that dock and stepped onto a 3-masted sailing ship... Those few people who refused to dress up were for once the minority, and the spirit was in the air... Grayson and myself were put to shame by some of the costumes too... Sadly we don't have the money to rent a fancy costume, and deserve some credit for havign such great costumes made of stuff we have in our closets already...

We sailed out into the middle of the water, and drank, and danced, and sang(well those of us hardcore pirates who knew the pirate songs played for a little while) - what was great was even though the DJ played a good deal of normal music for the masses, he was on our side and put on a number of toe tapping drinking songs fit for a pirate. He even ran out to sing/dance with us during those ones...

People were foolish to miss this...
Can't wait for my pictures...
It was great...
