I once attended Applefest, and I was able to not only eat an apple, but also marvelled at the new apple slicing technology!! It was really wicked, but we showed up kind of late, and the only thing we could do for kicks was draw chalk drawings on the street (I think we drew peace slogans and apples).
I did drink a beer with an apple slice in it, and I will again, although it was not exactly the most pleasant of flavour combinations. If there is enough interest, Vikram might even make a repeat appearance this year!!
If you can coordinate some apple lovin' mates to meet up, say in Cambridge, I might be able to provide transportation to the town of said festival....
Applefest is the best fest to exist on this planet. We used to go every year for choir as a fundraiser. I killed bees with brochures....best, time, ever.
Apples! Yum! Sorry I'll miss the festival, but I'm still here in Nova Scotia. Yet, even Nova Scotia has it's own apple fest. called the Apple Blossom Festival. It happens near the end of May. But oh how we all know how much I love apples! I eat them until the acid starts eating me! (meaning the corners of my mouth end up all cut) but does that stop me from eating apples? Oh no! I just cut them up in bite sized pieces and continue to eat!
Holy Crap!! That's apple loving at it's best! If there was ever a contest for apple lovin', you Ms. Worm, would win first prize!
So, did you get to Applefest for some applelovin'fun?
Glum Chum didn't make it, but I sure did. It was great, and you can read all about the fun on my blog! Just click on my image for the link!
